The South African Responsible Gambling Foundation (SAGRF) recently celebrated its 20th Anniversary at the start of Responsible Gambling Month on 1st November 2024. To coincide with this, the SARGF also announced the winners of the inaugural SARGF Awards. The gala dinner event was hosted at Emperors Palace and commemorated two decades of the public/private sector partnership in the funding of the programme.
Treatment and counselling have been able to be provided to over 20 000 patients since the programme’s inception. SABA was the recipient of the “Best Industry Self-Exclusion Innovation”, having designed and developed a digitised self-exclusion register for the industry.
